Malicious hijacker "search.snapdo.com/?st=pr&q=" which changes to "searchnet.com".
Win 7 desktop computer:
Google chrome browser has been hijacked by "search.snapdo.com/?st=pr&q=" which changes to "searchnet.com".
Snap do is a custom seach engine and toolbar program that hijacks your personal browser and search engine settings.
Trying to remove following online instructions and getting no where. It keeps looping through the same screens.
Have removed all "short cuts".
Any help would be appreciated. Wondering if I should just reinstall Win 7 or do a repair install.

This doesn't have anything to do with Cox internet. You might try BleepingComputers.com or Cox has Cox Tech Solutions. but keep in mind that CTS is a pay for use service.
I would help if I knew something off the top of my head, but your asking a question I can't answer unless I know the cause of the infection. Good luck though.

In the old days we would hold down the F8 button while the computer started up. You would be in a Safe zone. You have the option to reset the computer to a time in the past before the snapdo appeared. Any programs that you downloaded since that date would have to be reinstalled.
