Low speed internet and modem locking up until reboot

Hey there.  I've been having very low speeds on my internet connection and periodically, my modem requires a reboot to get it moving again.  Modem log below.  Look at all those uncorrectable codewords!  This is about 5 minutes after a modem reboot.

@djbonck

I checked the modem and I'm seeing packet loss between it and us but I'm also seeing an indication of noise interference on one of the downstream channels.  Do you by chance have a GSM cell phone?  There may be a signal leak in the cabling somewhere allowing GSM frequencies to get in.

I do have a Verizon GSM phone in my home, however, I've had it over a year.  Cox recently took down two free-hanging cable lines from the pole outside my home, which had been hanging there for the last 7 years.  I don't know if something got jostled during that work or if recent weather caused an issue.

There have been some issues with a cut fiber-line that has the whole network in a tizzy, like rolling internet outages. We experience "Bouncing" internet from approximately 8-11 PM EDT the past two(2) evenings.

@djbonck I would not normally expect to see this with Verizon.  The amount of time you may have had a cell phone isn't so much a factor but rather what can happen sometimes is damage occurs somewhere that allows over the air transmitted frequencies to leak into the line somewhere which we commonly call ingress.  This can be caused by something as simple as a splitter with an open port, damaged cabling, or even something larger depending on the extent of the problem.  It would probably be best to arrange for a technician to come out and troubleshoot further.
