Loss of backspace function in Cox email

On both our computers we have lost the function of the backspace key when typing emails.  Has anybody found a solution to this?

Could you share with us which email application you're using to access your email?

I am having this same problem.  I have three different computers and now I cannot backspace within the Cox Webmail GUI   "enhanced" email.  What's the deal with this?  It just started within the last few days.  It is extremely annoying not to be able to correct typos on the fly.

To answer support's question of the previous poster..we are using Cox's own "enhanced" webmail interface.

Thank you for your assistance.

Are any of you using Google Chrome to browse the web?  Can you try a different browser?

Chris,

Yes.  I use Google Chrome and always have to access and use Cox Webmail.  I just tried to access via IE here in the last few minutes, but the Cox Mail Server appears to be down as the login page does not come up now.

I will keep trying.

Chris,

I was finally able to log in using IE.  The backspace works in IE, but does not in Google Chrome.  The backspace used to work in Google Chrome until just recently.  Please advise when the problem might be corrected, as I do not wish to use IE as my browser.  Thanks!

I just recently found out about the issue with backspace in Google Chrome.  It remains to be determined howerver if the issue is with the browser or the email platform but I'm told the issue is being investigated.

I am having the exact same issue as well.  I am using Google Chrome and cannot use my backspace button.  This is a new issue.

I'm using Cox Enhanced email.  Windows 7, Chrome.   I hope this answers your question.

GOOD NEW!

As a followup -- I changed to Internet Explorer And the backspace key function returned to normal.  So it looks like this is a Google Chrome problem.  Since it seems to have occurred just recently there must have been a Google update that caused this problem.

Does it make sense for Cox to contact Google or individuals?

This is listed as solved.  It is not solved.  Chrome is a more secure browser than IE.  I would like to have this problem resolved.  I don't want to go through the hassle of changing email platforms.  This does not happen in the Chromium browser on my Ubuntu Linux machine.

I've lost use of my backspace key while in Chrome.  This happened once before and after a brief period I was able to use it in Chrome again.  This time it's been months....very frustrating!  My other emails and backspace keys work fine in Chrome.  Why can't this get solved?  Please help.... Chrome is my preferred browser.

This is the first I've heard of IE having the issue.  Are you using the graphical or HTML editor?

Does it matter?  It should work

It actually does matter to som extent concerning where the problem is.  If you're having the issue using the HTML or graphical editor that would require a Java update.
