Legitimate email being sent to Spam box

For months Cox has been sending legitimate emails to my SPAM box. Day after day I continue to click the "This is not Spam" button but nothing has changed. Every day emails end up again going to my SPAM box. Can anyone explain what the problem is? Thanks, Lou

Hi Lou,

Thanks for reaching out to us through the Cox Forums! I'm sorry that the Spam filter has been causing so much frustration. Are the emails that get marked as Spam all from the same domain? Are any of the email addresses that get marked as Spam saved in your Address Book? One suggestion that comes to mind is to utilize the Message Filter tool (within the Settings menu) to route messages from a specific domain to your Inbox. A Message Filter would also work for messages getting marked as Spam if there is a common word or theme that you can use as a Keyword.

Go into Classic Mail  ( look for the button Classic at the upper right of the screen if you are in Enhanced Mail).  Click on the blue Settings button.  Check out the different settings. One of them lets you direct where the Spam goes.  Choose the option that does not let Cox scan your incoming mail for Spam at all.  Everything goes to your inbox.   The other options are for Cox to not deliver the spam at all; or for them to deliver it and mark it with the word "spam"; or to send it to the Spam file.

It may be that you deselect all of the choices.  Which sends everything to your inbox.
