I have my own Nexxt Solaris 300 Wireless router that has always given me excellent range. It has always worked well with all systems provided I have just a cable modem compatible with your internet that has a Ethernet output.
I was assured by your store personnel that the above Cisco unit would provide the range I requested. It is still well within the one year warranty period.
Thank you

Hi William hill,
The cable modem that you purchased should not affect your wireless router signal. It provides the internet signal to the router, but the router hardware is responsible for emitting the wireless signal to other wireless devices.
Has the router been reset (powered off for one minute, then plugged back in)? If not, I would recommend trying that first. What is the model number of your cable modem?

First, just out of curiosity, where did you buy the Nexxt Solaris 300? I had never heard of the brand until last week when all of a sudden I saw it come up in 3 seperate posts. Was it on sale somewhere?
More on point, do you look to use the wireless of the Nexxt or the Cisco? The Cisco is a Wireless gateway, which combines a modem with a router, so if you already have a router(Nexxt), its redundant. On top of that, the fact that you may have two simular configured routers next to each other may be causing them both to have weaker wireless. Either way, your better off trading in the Cisco DPC3825 for the modem only version, which is the Cisco DPC3010. As a added bonus, its cheaper, so it will save you some money too.
PS: Your going to want to edit your post to remove your phone number and other personal info. This is a public forum which comes up on Google, so your basically broadcasting your phone number to every telemarketer in the world.
