Isn't Contour supposed to be better than the old DVR experience?

Just got Contour and Besides being able to record 6 at a time, its basically same cable box experience as before. I can't tell any difference besides my bill has increased. So, in addition to my monthly cable fees, I am also paying nearly $500 extra a year to rent the Contour Service ($8.50 box rental, + $19.99 contour service charge, + $11.99 for DVR service = $40.48 a month (before tax) = $485.76 a year). Why do I feel like I have been Gypt? Contour seems like the old service, dressed up a bit to make it seem a bit more premium in order to justify us paying more. Isnt Contour supposed to be a New Technology with a Newly Designed Box and a New Interface? I don't see much difference than before. The DVR menu is way more difficult to operate on Contour. The contour box doesn't seem to be any faster than before. The remote control is the same, no new advancements, there are even some functions on the old box that are missing in Contour (like the ability to advance the cable schedule 24 hours at a time using the fast forward button). Isnt Contour supposed to be a better experience? Im not impressed. Im not happy. : (
