Is there a way to program the remote to reduce channel inputs from 4 digits (ex. 1013) to 2 (ex. 13) and get HD?

I have been told that recently Cox made a change to their remotes so that instead of having to load 4 digits for a HD channel (example channel 1013) all I would have to do is load 13 to go to 1013.  If true where to I go to read-up on how to reprogram my remotes? All my viewing is done on HD channels and have little need to go to the 2 or 3 digit channels

For your box you should be able to press Settings then the Yellow A Triangle for more settings then select My Preferences and there is an option for HD Autotune you can enable.  This will cause your box to automatically switch to the HD version of the SD channel when available.
