Hi,
I have an SB6141 installed and have great connection speeds when connected. I noticed it will drop out from time to time and will become more frequent until I unplug the modem and reset everything. The connection will last about a day before I have to unplug the modem again. Can you check the signal to my modem and also I am not sure if I have most up to date firmware for my modem.
Thanks,
Phil

Hey osidephil, I also have a SB6141 modem that disconnects occasionally. Here is my thread: http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/internet_forum/f/5/t/1701.aspx
In my case it turned out to have nothing to do with the cabling in my house.
If you go to http://192.168.100.1/ (username: admin password: motorola) you can look at your modem signals and log. Try posting them here.

It looks like you picked up a firmware update in that last log. Have you had any issues since?

Yeah I see that the update was on the 6th and I have had the issue since then. I am wondering if the issue could be with my wireless router. I will check the status of that when I get home. The home computer hard wired through the router.

I would also suggest removing the router and testing to see if your results vary.
