Internet drops for a 30sec to a minute or so and reconnects.

My internet connection has dropped several times a day for the past couple of weeks. I looked the modem logs and see some errors at the time this happens. I was wondering if any one had any suggestions.

Below is one that I had yesterday in the evening.

It's a Motorola Surfboard Model Name: SB6120

I mask the Mac Address and can repost with them if needed.

 Thanks,

Brad

I wish I had an answer because I have the same problem and it is very frustrating.

Signal levels are far out of specification when I check your modem status.  I would say scheduling a service call is in order.

How about on mine Chris?  My signal levels are *** perfect right now and I've had 4 techs out... the latest tech today told me that it was because the cable modem was plugged into my surge protector (AC only, not the cable line)... so I humored him and still the same issue... all indications lead to a CMTS or node problem but no one at cox will acknowledge this!!! Help?

Thanks Chris. I removed a couple of splitters and checked my levels on the modem and looks like I gained about 10db. I'm going to try this for a couple days and if everything is ok I'll run another drop to avoid the splits on this drop.

Thanks,

Brad

Chris, could you check my signal levels again please sir. I ran a seperate cable and the modem looks much better now but I'm still getting drops randomly.

Thanks,

Brad
