Initial installation of the interactive program guide
I just got a new Contour box with DVR. I also got a new non-dvr receiver. I plugged them both in and both have been loading the interactive program guide for about 20-25 minutes. Is this normal? Should it take 30 minutes to load the interactive program guide when you first plug a new unit in? If it should not take that long, I have a problem and need your recommendation for a remedy.

Even if it's not in the "norm" when booting or updating, it is possible for the receiver to take longer to load. This doesn't automatically mean there is anything wrong with it.
Are the receivers working now? If not, please let me know how the receivers are connected (straight to wall or is there a splitter) and if the power cord is going straight to the wall or to a surge protector.
