HDHomerun Prime/MTR-700 isssues. - TA is reporting disabled and some channels missing

I have had two service visits so far to try and figure out why I am unable to receive any of the HBO and Starz subchannels using my HDHomerun Prime and tuning adapter.  The last visit I was told that I would not be able to receive the channels using a cablecard, but looking at other threads in the forums leads me to believe that this is not the case.  The TA seems to be disabled:

I don't work for Cox, but I am installing a new HDHomerun prime.

My tuner adapter stats looks like this under the tuner resolver menu:

Authentication    success
Downstream    success
Upstream    success
Operational Status    ready
User Inactivity    2 minutes

Where are you located City, State.  There appears to be an issue in Gainsville, Florida where CableCARD users are not getting the extra HBOs and all the Contour HD channles.

I live in Pea Ridge AR. I have a tech coming out tomorrow to see if anything can be done. I was told last night that the cable card can only pick up the SD HBO and Starz sub channels and also two each of the HBO and Starz in HD. Channels that require a Contour box are not supported with the cablecard. I'm having trouble getting reliable information because it seems that no one at Cox really knows that much about the subject. The person I talked to had never even heard of Silicon Dust or any of its products before.

In your first post the Tuning Adapter says: Tuning Resolver upstream status: none
Does that ever change to Tuning Resolver upstream status: success
If not you have a signal issue, can you post the RF signals from the Tuning Resolver Pages

Have you re-scanned for channels lately using the HDHomeRun Setup utility, if not please do now?

After the re-scan could you please post the Tuner Status of one of the HBO channels you are not getting.
I am posting mine below.

That is absolutely False, CableCARDs are entitled to receive all the Contour HD channels you subscribe to,  It is an FCC requirement. and if they keep telling you that you need to file an FCC Complaint.

Choose TV > File Complaint > Description of Complaint (use the info provided above) > TV Issues > Availability

There have been many reports of this lately, my only guess is that they were moved to Switched Digital Video and were not mapped to the Tuning Adapter.

Tuner 1 Status
Virtual Channel 1205 HBOZH
Frequency 663.000 MHz
Program Number 59847
Authorization subscribed
CCI Protection protected-copyonce
Modulation Lock qam256
PCR Lock locked
Signal Strength 99% (-1.0 dBmV)
Signal Quality 100% (36.4 dB)
Symbol Quality 100%
Streaming Rate 7.422 Mbps

Has this been resolved yet?

There are now 4 reports of basically the same issue in the Kansas/Arkansas systems, spread across 3 Forums.  I think the four of you need to correspond via one of the forums and compose a letter and all email it to cox.help@cox.com and copy coxcorp.customerrelations@cox.com and Mail a copy to:
Cox Communications, Inc.
P.O. Box 679
Wichita, KS 67201

You all need to File a Complaint with the FCC to get some attention, Cox will respond fairly quickly.

The problem has been resolved! Evidently the issue was the tuning adapter. The tech that came out was very patient and determined to see this issue through. What finally worked was a combination of the second (of four) cable cards and the third (of five) tuning adapters. Once a tuning adapter was used that actually paired and activated, the Prime tuner located an additional 49 channels that were not found before. This included the HBO and Starz sub-channels, so yes, all of the channels were accessible through the cablecard. Thank you for your input to this matter. Your post was instrumental in getting this issue resolved.
