HBO & Cinemax Free Preview in October?
I received an email from:

It says that Cox will have a free preview weekend of HBO and Cinemax on October 7 to 10. Is there any truth to this?

Yes. Cox announced the free preview on their Aug 14 Statement:

Free Previews Coming Soon for Cox TV customers!
During the upcoming Free Preview Weekend in October, customers who subscribe to a Cox TV Economy, a Cox Advanced TV or a Cox Contour TV package will have free access to view several premium networks including their OnDEMAND (channel 1) content. The previews will include HBO and Cinemax from October 7th through October 10th.

Cinemax is now free in NoVa. i already subscribe to HBO. I guess Cox needed to be reminded.
