I just received the notice that Cox is going all digital. I understand the need, but I have a few questions. I have three TVs in my house, but only one has a cable box. One of my TVs is wall mounted (in a guest bedroom) and there is no place to put a box. And we have one TV swivel mounted outside, with virtually no place for a box there either.

1. I don't think there are any standardized mounting holes, but they are small enough that all you need is some double-sides tape or velco to mount on the back of your TV. Just don't put it anywhere where it will get too hot.
2. IR. You can buy IR receivers or RF adapters as ad-ons though.
3. Renting only. Cable broadcasters don't want anything with potential proprietary systems to be owned by the consumer. Similar to why you can't buy a phone modem.Only way to avoid boxes now is to go OTA.
