Getting more channels that we thought we already had
We have Advanced TV Preferred. On the channel list, it indicates that we are supposed to get several channels that we do not get. There is an "*" next to the channel, i.e. NBC Sports Channel 69. The '*" means that you have to have a digital receiver (?) or a Cable Card. Is this even MORE money than what we are already paying? We have the HD boxes. Do we need more? Thank you.

AFAIK, those channels require a full digital STB or cable cars, not a minibox. If you have a digital converter or DVR you're good to go. If you have a minibox you won't get those channels.

What is the model number of the boxes you have? Any "non Mini-box" type of STB should suffice. ["...the HD boxes" means nothing.] Also, what is your zip code?

depending on what tier the o[ has NBC sports in Omaha has it in TV Essential and no digital package is needed sounds like the mini boxes will get any TV Essential channels that the cpx area has moved to digital
