FBN debate question
We do not get the FBN in our expanded package. We are not digital and have no box. I heard FBN worked out a deal with some cable companies to allow those who don't normally get this Channel will be able to for the debate Jan 14. Is Cox one of them and if so what channel number is it? I show 94 is where it should be but putting in that number I show many channels with 94 like 94-1, 94-317 etc. but nothing is on those channels.

I understand it can be steamed on the computer but what I want is to watch it on the tv. What channel exactly can I find it and what time will it be available for those who don't get it normally on their expanded package?

The Fox Business Network is included in TV Essential. The preview is available today and tomorrow (1/14/2016 - 1/15/2016.) Customers currently subscribed to TV Starter may need to perform a channel scan on their TV or minibox to tune the channel.
In your area Fox Business Network can be found on channel 94/1094. The channel numbers will differ for customers in other markets. The Cox Channel Line Up can be found at http://www.cox.com/residential/tv/channel-lineup.cox

I auto tuned the tv. I cannot get the 94-1094 you mentioned. When I hit 94 on the remote it shows me several channels but no 1094. All I can get is a few channels with three numbers following the 94. When I try to manually input the 94-1094 it takes up to the third number (94-109) but as soon as I hit the 4 to complete the channel number you told me it won't take. Why?

Try a STB. FBN is channel 94. FBN-HD is channel 1094. FBN on 94 is receivable with a mini-box and "TV ESSENTIAL" subscription. FBN-HD requires a full-size STB and an "ESSENTIAL" subscription.

Well as I posted orginally we have no box so what your saying is we can't get FBN. If the first rep would have actually read what I posted about not having a box we could gave ended this round robin posting earlier and not wasted my time or yours. For what we pay monthly I think we're looking into a satellite dish. We're getting less for more money and most our neighbors quit Cox and went with dish or direct. They get way more for around the same amount we pay.

what area are you in? Soon if not now you will loose you channels and need a cable card or mini box.

We are in Las Vegas. Being a senior and living on fixed income Cox doesn't offer more bang for your buck. Most of the seniors in our community have left Cox and I am seeing why more and more.

Cox is one of the last Cable providers to carry analog. Going All Digital will increase the bandwidth and also allow more opportunities for our customers. Once the transition has come to your area, you may contact an account specialist to see what options are available to see what options are available when adding the Mini Boxes.
