Expanded number of live programs that can be recorded

When up graded to whole home system I was told Cox would be expanding DVR so that you could record 4 shows at once vice the current 2 shows. What is status as been some time and have not seen anything in regard to upgrade.

Hi Moe, 

Currently all of the DVR boxes we offer are limited to two tuners. You can have multiple hosts boxes, which would allow you more tuners to set to record while you leave some free for watching live TV.

The 6-tuner 98xx DVR (G8) has been delayed to a scheduled September release. Maybe sooner, maybe later.

I had not heard that. Last I heard we had issued them to employees for final testing, at least in my area and probably in others. Not that this gives us any idea of a date, but I definitely haven't heard anything about it being pushed back.

Initial employee testing revealed a few bugs. This was announced last week. Were the bugs minor? Just with the G8/TRIO 2 combo? Dunno. Q3 was announced. September was hinted at. Earlier still possible (but don't hold your breath.)
