Essential Internet Speed is Terrible
I just used the speed test to check my connection. I did this because something changed and my internet has slowed down. The results of the test is as follows:
Download Speed 2.47
Upload Speed 0.16
Latency Ping 150 MS
I know Essential is not that fast but come on. DSL speed is faster.

Hi Lara,
I know how much it bugs me to wait for an internet page to load, so I appreciate your frustration. The Essential Internet Tier provides a maximum download speed of 3 Mbps and a maximum upload speed of 768 Kbps. There are quite a few factors that influence speed. Are you on a wireless or a wired network? If wireless, is your network secured with a password? Are your router settings optimized and is software up to date? Is your home network being shared between multiple devices? Does your PC have up-to-date anti-virus and anti-spyware software?
All of these factors, plus others, influence the speed at which you are able to access the internet. If you would like us to take a closer look at your internet speed, feel free to email cox.help@cox.com for further assistance. Include your name and address. We're happy to help!

I don't think it's just essential with slow speeds.. I get twice as much u/l than I do d/l... Been terrible lately.. I have yet to see any improvement over the last month or so...

I Checked my speed again. https://myaccount.cox.net/internettools/speedcheck/speedcheck.cox
It still consistently slow. I am wondering now if it is because the server is all the way over in Oklahoma City? If this is the problem why is there not a server here in Tulsa? I know we are a big enough market to warrant our own servers.
