Email problem

Been having problems sending emails for several weeks. After I compose an email, I hit the SEND button and the mail area of the display goes blank. I still have all the buttons (send, compose, etc.) and all my folders show up on the left side, but where you would read or compose an email, its just white space. I can go back to the INBOX or any folder and everything is displayed. When I look in the SENT folder the email I tried to send is not there. The other thing I noticed is that when I select the ADDRESSES button, I also get a blank screen - nothing comes up. SO, I can no longer send emails. I am using the web-based email.

Hello rgmess,

Are you using Classic or Enhanced Webmail?  It sounds like there may be a java  script issue. There are couple of things we can try, when you compose the email look at the right side of the screen, it is more than likely set to HTML.  Try changing it to Plain Text and sending again.

You could also reinstall the java plugin, click on this link - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html.  Choose the operating system from the list of downloads on the page.  I hope this information helps, let us know if you need any further assistance.

Using Classic webmail. Email compose is set to Plain text already. Donwloaded/installed latest Java. NO CHANGE, still can't view Addresses or send email.

Hi rgmess, have you tried re-installing the java plugin?

Yup, reinstalled it twice to make sure. Note that I am having the same issue regardless of what device I access webmail from - my desktop or my iPad, so a Java problem seems unlikely?

Interestingly, I have a second Cox email account that I also access via classic webmail, and I have no problem accessing Addresses or sending email. Can't see any difference int he settings between the two accounts. Flummoxed...
