Elderly person has problem with 4 digit entries. Can they be shortened?

We just got this advanced tv system with the URC-8820-Cisco remote. The old analog channels are still there with numbers from 2-97. One example i would give is trying to select what was channel 5. If one inputs just 5 or 05 they get the blurry analog channel. The hd channel is 2005. An elderly member of the family cannot input the 4 digits quick enough. So it will go to 20 or 200 etc. Is there a way to just be able to press 5 and have it go directly to the corresponding hd version of that channel?
