dvr program schedule change

For the past several years... there is always the same issue with recording shows on CBS because of sporting events on Sundays.

The problem is  the schedule does not reflect the delays... therefore, every time I set to record a CBS program that is scheduled for 7 pm, it records at 7 but not the correct program.  I would always see the sporting event that caused the delay.

I suggest Cox perform a software upgrade that reflects current or "live" schedules of programs.  Why can't the correct program be recorded with the new delayed time?  This happens every time there is a delay and since it's football season, this will be every Sunday.

I have been greatly annoyed by the same problem for years. If I remember, I add additional programs at the end to record but does not work if I am not at home. Sporting events never end on time and the schedule for the night should be shifted to compensate for it. Certainly makes CBS less important on Sunday night.

Chele,

All we have to do is to have the NFL producers to let the local affiliates know the exact game end times, then the affiliates can send their updated start times to the guide data providers who could then update all of the guides before the program starts. Ain't gonna happen. Two easier alternatives:

1. Pad the end times of programs following live sports by 30 minutes or so.

2. Move to the West Time Zone. We rarely have that problem out here. [Sports begin/end 3-hours earlier.]
