DSA392N Modem? Not on your list but Cox supplied the Modem

I just got Cox Internet and phone service.  The WiFi Modem I have is listed as a DSA392N.  I would like to change the modem name and password if I can, but when I go to look for the instructions for this modem, it is not listed on the list of Cox modems.  Cox supplied this modem, and the installer couldn't give me any information about it.  I have had some service drops and it seems to be when we get phone calls.

Where can I get information to access the modem and it's settings for security and other settings.

That is very strange. Does the tag on the modem actually show that model number? Maybe there are some other numbers listed on the modem that you might try to look up on the web. If you can't find any information at all, I'd call Cox and make them bring you another modem. Maybe it's the phone/router that is specific to Cox only, in any case I'd probably give a call and talk to them about what you want to do, especially if you're seeing service drops and it's their equipment.

The modem showing there is the Cisco DPQ3925. To acccess the router's settings for that Gateway you would need to go to http://192.168.0.1 and login with the username and password fields being blank by default.

Once you have logged in  you can go under the Wireless tab to change the SSID and WPA key for the password for the router and apply those changes to save them. You can locate the DPQ3925 manual here.
