Dropping picture for $100 a month... no bueno!

I pay almost $100 per month for cable tv so I can watch sports and the Daily Show.  Why yhen does my bandwidth go to sh!t every Sunday afternoon when I am trying to watch an event.  I'll be downloading this again from the pirate bay so I can actually watch the event that I payed YOU to see.

Is this a TV or Internet issue we're talking about?  I did check the signal levels for both and I'm not seeing any obvious problems from this end.  Do you have the problem with other TVs in your home?
