DOCSIS 3.0 Constantly drops connection and kicks me off xbox live
I have preferred service, yet my xbox no matter what I try will not stay online. I get randomly disconnected in the middle of matches. I have tried all the port forwarding and everything microsoft suggested but it keeps happening, and it is completely random.
Someone please help because I am getting really frustrated. It has not worked correctly since day 1. My laptop also cannot connect at all via wifi and if I hardwire it in, if I cause too much traffic on the system the connection just crashes and is difficult to get back.
I'm losing my mind over here. Has anyone else has this issue?
it is the Netgear DOCSIS 3.0 - C6300BD

I have tried both wired and wireless for the xbox with the same result. As for my laptop, I have never had any issues connecting to any other network. Just to check I connected it to my neighbors Wifi and it had faster speed than when it was hard wired in to my modem/router and he has a slower speed package than I do, which makes it even more frustrating.
I installed Netgear Genie, and it connects and disconnects randomly and cant fix whatever the issue is.
Thank you for the quick response by the way. It is appreciated.

When you next get disconnected, do a Xbox live test(see below) and see where it fails. Also, how can your laptop not connect? For instance, can it not see the network at all? Or can it see it but not connect? Or can you connect just not get online?
Press the Guide button on your controller.
Select Settings, System Settings, and then Network Settings.
Select the name of your Wireless Network, or select Wired Network for a wired connection.
Select Test Xbox Live Connection.

It usually only drops for a few moments, so by the time I test the connection everything checks out just fine. NAT is open, and all systems are a go. Then when I join into a game or even sitting in a game lobby it will randomly flash (disconnected from xbox live) then send me back to the main screen. I am no tech wizard, but I have tried everything that I could personally think of as well as everything that microsoft could think of. They flat out said it is your service provider not the servers. I have a tenant down stairs that has no issues. I have connected my xbox wirelessly to him and it runs just fine. Which leads me to believe it is either the connection or the router/modem itself.
Do you have a spare moment to speak? I could explain it much easier over the phone if you wouldn't mind giving me a hand.

Were you talking to me or the moderator? I am just a customer, but if you want to chat Im fine with that. How do you prefer?
:;Edit:: Also, what do you see in the router logs (ADVANCED > Administration > Logs) around the time of the disconnects? See page 70-71 of manual for more info.
