I currently have the Premier package (50mbps @ 73.99) and when I look at the upgrade options I see that I can order Premier 100mbps at the same $73.99 price?
Did the Premier speed recently increase from 50 to 100mb, and if so, will my speed automatically be upgraded or do I need to go through the ordering process and be forced to take the $30 "self-install" fee?

Well I found this recent story which I think answers my questions, guess I'll have to wait and see if the speed increases within the next couple weeks.

Ok, now I'm confused. My services overview says I have "Cox High Speed Internet" it no longer says I have Premier.. Do I need to order an upgrade to the new 100mb Premier? When I do a speed test I pretty much consistently get 64-65mb and assumed that was 50mb + the powerboost

We didn't mean to confuse you, so I apologize! I'm glad you reached out to us. The speed increases were automatic, and as long as you currently have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem (as you do), no customer action is normally required.
I located your account through your Forums registration email address so I could verify that everything is as it should be, and I noticed that your speed test results from yesterday are lower than I'd like them to be. I reprovisioned your modem from my end, so when you read this post, please reset (or power cycle) your router. Then try the Cox Internet Tools Speed Test (http://bit.ly/CoxInternetSpeedTest) and see if the download speed improves. I can also take a look at the results from my end and we can go from there.
Thanks for reaching out to us through Cox Forums!

Hi Becky, thanks for the reply! I power cycled my modem and router and ran a couple speed tests and am now getting 85-86 Mbps, a definite improvement over yesterday. The guy I chatted with yesterday mentioned the speed increases were still being applied until the end of the month, is that when I should be seeing the full 100mbps?

That may be a valid point. We don't know the rollout schedule or where along the network your node resides, so there's no way to know if your area is still in the middle of the upgrade process.
I think you have a good plan! Run a few speed tests around the first of August and update us with the results!

Well the problem seems to be my router... I have a Netgear WNDR3400 which I didn't realize has 10/100 Ethernet ports, not Gigabit Ethernet ports (what a shame). When I bypassed my router, I was getting speed test results of 130Mbps on the Cox speed test and 117Mbps on Speedtest.net
Guess it's time to buy that Netgear Nighthawk I've been looking at

Oh, and my iPhone is getting 95Mbps when connected to my Wifi... it's faster than my wired connection Why would they not include gigabit ports on this router, it astounds me!
