Hey guys I have a problem with my wifi so I have a DDW366 and the 5GHZ wifi sometimes just stops working the even though it is still there in the list of wifi and when I enter in the password it says unable to join and can't join but the 2.4GHZ wifi is working fine so I think that this is a bug.

Are you having trouble connecting new devices to the 5 GHz network or are these devices that have worked previously? Has the router been reset already?

Another new device, 1NT3RN3T? 2 weeks ago you were struggling with a Cisco DPC3825. Anyway, how far is the device trying to connect from the gateway? Range and wall penetration on 5GHz isn't as good as 2.4GHz.
You should do a site survey, that is map WiFi strength on each band at various points in you home. If you have a laptop, you can install Acrylic WiFi free. It supports both bands if your laptop's wireless NIC also supports 5GHz. Another option if you have an Android device is WiFi Analyzer. It does the same thing on an Android phone or tablet. Both are free for home use.
If you find weak signal strength at some points in your home you may need to relocate the gateway. Another option is to punt ... get rid of the gateway, go with a good modem and a Netgear Nighthawk router like the R7000. The R7000 has the strongest radios I have found in a home router.

The devices have worked previously and when I connect I get a unable to join or even more bizarre incorrect password but I all I need to do to resolve the issue is to turn off and turn back in the gateway by the way I am right next to to the device. So maybe it is a bug in the firmware and I might have not the latest firmware.

When you say "there is a list of wifi" are any of those other networks 5Ghz? Another words, is it a issue with the device seeing YOUR 5Ghz network or ANY 5Ghz network?
Also, how many of your devices are capable of seeing 5Ghz networks? When one can't see it, can all not see it?
Last, how do you have your wireless configured? See page 68-70 of manual for more info on the DDW366 wireless. Also if you just want a simple list of the networks around you, see Wireless > Radio > "Scan Wireless AP" to see a list of wireless networks around you. Take note of their "Phy mode" and "Channel". Unfortunately, that doesn't tell you which networks around you are 2.4 and which are 5Ghz.
1+ For doing a site survey. Here is a site breaking down the different software you could use, depending if you prefer Android, Mac, or Windows environments.

What security/encryption are you using on the 5Ghz? Try disabling security for a short time and see if issue goes away.

It could be the security type that you chose for the 5 GHz network, you may need to select a different one. What do you currently have it set to?

All of them are up to date Windows 10 and all my iOS devices are above iOS 9 and I'm also wondering if I could put the DDW366 in bridge mode to connect to a dir-825 if this keeps happening
