COX vs CBS

Cox negotiators regarding a higher monitory fee requested by top viewed CBS programming stations is going to cost them in the long run. They will loose a LOT of users, me for one. CBS is by far my most watched channel here. They (COX) needs to accept the fact they sell us consumers; "You get what you pay for". So, why not pay a little more to local CBS stations? You've got the $$$ (we pay pretty good, don't we?).

I just heard about  COX vs CBS, I agree with you, we do pay more to have COX.

If they drop CBS why have COX, I can go to another company for a lot less.

Come on COX we pay you plenty make the deal.

I personally think Cox should NOT pay. They should get together with ATT and DirectTV (who are also arguing the increased fees) and try to have as many people dump CBS as possible. That will force CBS to come crawling back to the negotiation table. Last time CBS did this, they were asking for 500 million, and providers had to increase the price almost 2$ a sub to make up for it. Now they are asking for 2 Billion by 2020. That is WAY too much IMO to ask for a channel  they provide free OTA. When will it stop? Content Providers like CBS and ESPN are losing money from advertisers, because less people are watching TV, so they are holding broadcasters at ransom. And the broadcasters are screwed either way. They pay CBS and half the customers complain about the increased price. They don't pay CBS and the other half complain they lost CBS. Getting the customers involved are the only way Cox can win.

BTW, why isn't anyone complaining to CBS? Try here.
