Does anyone have any information on the Cox Security Suite page not working or letting you activate or install it?

I am also unable to download the suite. The online chat help suggests the Cox site is incompatible with Internet Explorer. Still no dice.

i am having that problem too and they told me their web page was down (which it obviously wasn't since this has been a problem since 2/21 and it is now 2/29); then they told me to call McAfee who won't do anything becuase is shows my McAfee account as expired (probably from when I had it in '98); so someone somewhere needs to do some homework - legally they are advertising a product they can't provide ...

Duuuuh! OK peeps - simple solution, BUT ONLY IF you can remember when Cox webmail changed from .com to .net. Waaay back then, you created a user ID and password. Now you may never have used that user ID and password since its origination as like me, you developed more users and email addresses and wanted to use something easier to remember ..., but you WILL need it for doing any kind of administrator work such as downloading the Cox Security Suite. So ask Mom or dig in your paperwork to find the Service Agreement where hopefully someone wrote down the user ID and password from back then (good luck, my Agreement was signed in 2001!). Now if only Cox could have told me that on the several times I called and emailed ,...

Spaztic,
Have you previously downloaded the software at some point? if so you must uninstall any current McAfee security software first. Please refer to the updated page Activate and Install Cox Security Suite Plus Powered by McAfee. Let me know if this solves your issue.

FKnight....have you tried this yourself? It doesn't work! the website is messed up! internet tools DOES NOT WORK! I know what im doing, ive downloaded this software several times, at work, at home, for friends, but since LAST YEAR the internet tools does not work. following the "help" docs I click on the link for the suite and it says its moved...for over a year! i know there HAS to be a ticket that can be entered. Or an email that can be sent to someone but this *** thing don't work. Its kind of frustrating to see the commercials for security suite and im running free avg...... and it isn't my browser...ive tried ie 8,9, chrome, mozilla, safari. So what can be done? is there a department that fields and fixes problems w/ the website?

Dave, I'm terribly sorry to hear you are still having issues with this. I have tested access to McAfee with my login and it's working from here. It could be that there is an issue with your login in our provisioning system. We should be able to get this taken care of for you. If you can email me your account information including the login you are using to access internet tools we should be able to get this knocked out. Please email me at coxhelp@cox.com.
Thank you for your patience with this.

You may be logging in with the wrong credentials if you are receiving this error page:
Currently, Cox Security Suite / McAfee can only be downloaded when you log in as the primary account holder. If you log in as a secondary authorized user you will hit hit this error page. You can learn more about the difference b/w these identities by reading our article Understanding Digital Identities and Account Types.

Hello Pat,
We have no plans to change our relationship with McAfee. The Cox Security Suite powered by McAfee is still free to our High Speed Internet subscribers. Because this service is free it should not appear on your bill so this is normal. The information you received regarding a 14.99 plan is a separate service provided by Cox Tech Solutions. This is an optional service, and is not intended to replace the Cox Security Suite powered by McAfee.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions around Cox Tech Solutions or the Cox Security Suite.

I have been having this error for months. I am getting angrier and angrier by the minute. I feel duped every time I try. I am paying for a something advertised but no delivered. I saw a post from them stating that it must be that we are trying to log in with secondary credentials and that the primary has to be the one logging in. This is pure bologna. We have one log in for our account period. No excuse.
