Yes it does, 25mbs download 10mb upload is what im paying for, and Im constantly getting around 0.40mbs download .005 upload whenever I'm online, and this technical forum is for assistance to help with my internet problem, not for you to jump on my forum post to attempt to insult me because you saw me post on sk8rdude's post.

Its my hobby for me to come on these forums and help people. In order to help, we need technical information on the problem your having. How you posted is like going into a car shop, throwing your keys down and saying "Its broke" and then leaving. Its common courtesy on a forum to give a outline of the problem, here are some things to include. You don't have to include it all ofcourse, but that gives you the kind of information that is useful.

To get the most out of your forums experience, follow these guidelines for posts:

  • Use descriptive titles for your posts. Put as much of your problem in as possible, i.e., “Setting up email on my phone,” “Creating additional email addresses?”
  • Provide a specific description of the issue. For example, write “I just bought a new laptop running Windows 7 and can’t get my email to download to Outlook. How do I do that?
  • • make and model of cable modem
    • make a model of router
    • cox speed tier
    • signal levels from »192.168.100.1 at several intervals during the day, especially as the slowness is occurring
    • if they have splitters and if the cable modem has been plugged into a line directly from the wall (bypassing all splitters and surge protectors)
    • several speed tests to various locations close to where they reside (if applicable, »test.lvcm.com)
    • smokeping results or pingplotter output to various sites that they perceive packet loss to (if applicable)
    • has the user tweaked (»/tweaks)
    • direct the user to post the symptoms here, but refer them to local support based on the thread »[ALL] Cox Forum Support Authorized
    • are you connected wired or wireless?
    • have you tested speeds bypassing router?
    • are other services such as phone or tv affected?
    • need the MAC address of your modem while not at home? Go to the Cox home page for your area (»www.cox.net and enter your zip), my account, internet tools, manage computers

Going off the modem the downstream signal levels appear to be fine, the upstream levels are below what we would expect though. The connection does not respond past the modem though likely due to a firewall or router to see if there is any latency, for anything connecting. With those results its likely packet loss somewhere on the connection. If you are going through a router at the moment can you try to bypass it and test the speed direct?
