Cox IMAP sending but not receiving emails through outlook

I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop and my laptop and have had issues sending emails from my laptop while I'm away from my house. I was able to receive, but always had errors when sending because I had the same .pst file from my desktop which was creating problems.  I saw that there is IMAP settings for cox webmail now, so I switched my settings in outlook for this on my laptop and now I can send emails (which i couldn't before) but now I can't receive emails.

When browsing online, another user posted in the forum a few days ago (http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/internet_forum/f/5/t/10315.aspx) and a tech support said he did something on his end in order to fix the issue.  Whoever he was helping said that it fixed the issue and now everything was working.  Is there any way someone can help me with this as well??

@MYP.Rhonda

I looked on our end however I wasn't able to find any indication of a problem with any of the email accounts.  Are you getting any kind of error message when trying to receive email?

I am having the same problem. I tried "repair" in account properties of Outlook. It worked once and emails came in. Now I can't get it to receive or "repair" itself.

What errors?

"but now I can't receive emails."

What happens when you try? Error on send? Bounce back from ISP? Bounce back from who your sending it to?

". I tried "repair" in account properties of Outlook. It worked once and emails came in. Now I can't get it to receive or "repair" itself."

If a repair fixes the problem and then the issue comes back, sounds like a problem with Outlook. Try a different client like Thunderbird and see if the problem fallows. Doesn't sound like the problem OP has.
