cox email

Is COX considering upgrading their email to one more closely reflecting popular programs like Outlook?  Simple features like changing fonts, underlining, bolding letters, colored fonts, automatic hyperlink creation and others are greatly missed.  The COX email program seems somewhat "clunky" and old-fashioned...that's just my opinion.

BTW, on another matter...I am very impressed (so far) with COX customer support.

Cox doesn't make email programs. They offer a email service. Just like they don't make TV's, they offer TV service. They offer two kinds of websites for that service, classic and enhanced. Both offer options like you mentioned. With Classic, you need a working version of Java on your computer and when composing a mail click "HTML editor". Enhanced uses Flash and offers the same thing. See more info here on enhanced webmail.

Greetings GCW and Mike J.

I am a noob on the forums and I would like to "second" the motion presented by GCW.  Without saddling-up the whole-hog of Outlook™, there are two features I sincerely hope can be added:

1.  The ability to add a "sent to" configured subfolder to any folder, or, if it is easier, allow any "received from" column to be reconfigured as "sent to".

2.  The ability to download my entire e-mail account content in one package.  If not as a native feature, then by arrangement.  -- And, if neither of those is feasible, I would at least like to download by folder.

------- and another thing for Mike J. and support:

This little editor for replies is a nice feature and works without Adobe™ Flash™.  Why can't the coding for this be grafted into "Classic" e-mail mode?

With many browsers scheduling termination of Flash™support, Cox e-mail "Enhanced" mode will shortly be a vestigial appendage.  If my monthly bill includes payment for Adobe support at all, I resent it.
