Coutour Real Estate on iPad

When watching TV shows I see that there is about 1 inch on top and the bottom of the screen that are black, how can I expand the view to the entire iPad screen?

I believe the letterbox/pillarbox is going to depend on the shape of the device vs. the shape of the broadcast video, and I don't believe the app currently has any way to adjust it.
It may be one of the things we're working on, since I know the app is constantly in development, and I can certainly put in a suggestion for it.
