We just got the new contour system. We have 3 HD receivers, with one of those being the record 6 DVR. I set up 2 new users on the main DVR. My understanding was that once a new user was added, he/she would then show up as a user on the other receivers in the network. Currently, the user only shows up on that one receiver. How do you get them to "sync" so that the users show up on all the receivers without having to add them to each separately (which would defeat the purpose of being able to access your user profile from any TV). All of the receivers are visible from each separate TV.

You are doing everything correctly. When you add a new user it can take some time for it to sync up to the other boxes. If its taking longer than fifteen minutes I recommend resetting each box starting with the DVR. If it still does not work, the problem is with the user database server located in Atlanta Georgia. Call Cox tech support and simply tell them that user profiles are not sync'ing. If you absolutely need an error code try this: Add a user on the host box, then try adding the same user name to a client box. It should say that the user already exists, if the boxes aren't syncing with the remote server you will get an error code instead.
I had the same problem, and support was hot on it and helped me fix it.
