It doesn't matter what show I've recorded but after exactly 30 seconds of playback there's a minor blip and then the recording plays completely normal. Any thoughts?

Hi Calgator,
In order to find a resolution, please reply back with the following information. What model DVR you have? How long have you had this issue? Do you have any problems when watching live programming?

I have a Cisco 9865HDC. It has happened since install a month ago. And no it does not occur during live broadcasts. Additionally, both with and without an eSata drive attached the DVR gives a warning every time a recording is initiated that the DVR is full. There are only three recordings on the DVR.

Hi calgator,
I apologize for the delayed response. When you remove the SATA drive, what titles are showing on the DVR Hard-drive and how full does it show?

I am having a similar problem. The first 2 seconds of any recorded show is pixilated (the screen is distorted and the sound is bad). After 2 seconds, everything is fine. This is a very small problem but it happens on every recording. I have Contour and am in Phoenix.

Regardless of whether the esata drive is connected or not space available reports 100%. The recorded show list does not change either. BTW the initial problem at 30 seconds is gone.

yak,
Are you using a SATA drive also? Do you see this happen on live TV?

If you are having this issue without the SATA connected, it sounds like we need to swap the receiver. We schedule work orders 7 days a week in 2 hour time slots, 8-10, 10-12, 1-3, 3-5, and 5-7. Please email me at cox.help@cox.com with the best day and time and I will see if it's available.

Which issue in this thread are you also experiencing? Are you having problems with a connected SATA drive, or were you referring to the issue where the first 30 seconds of DVR recordings doesn't play correctly? I can help!
