Connecting 2 WiFi Routers to Single Cable Modem
I currently have 1 WiFi router connected to 1 Cable Modem. I purchased new WiFi router and want to connect 2 routers (old & new) to single cable modem. My intent is to have home automation connected to legacy (old) router while tv streaming & computers connected to new router. My question is: Is it possible to connect 2 WiFi Routers to single cable modem?

The modem will only provide an Internet connection to a single device. It is possible to connect a router to another router however there may not be enough benefit to doing this to offset the technical problems that come up if not managed correctly.
