First, thanks for making the cc button work. Have noticed that on some shows and movies that closed caption works fine and then goes away. Have to push cc button off and then on to bring it back. Any ideas?

It has done this for a while. Before the CC button worked, I had to go into settings and turn CC off and then on to bring CC back. I have checked a few times when CC went off by going into settings and it shows CC is on but no captioning on the screen. Turn it off and then back on and the captioning is back. FYI this on a Cisco 9865 HDC set up in a Whole Home DVR network. This also used to happen on the 8642 HDC that it replaced.

A variable amount of time. You will be watching a show and captioning just goes away. Pressing CC off and then on brings it back. Happens on various shows from prime time to movies. I use the 6 channel upstairs and only watch recorded shows, have not watched real time TV in years. My roommate uses the 2 channel downstairs and does not do captioning. Happened again last night and I looked at settings and CC was on but no captions. Turned it off and then back on and captions were back. I have been unable to figure out any commonality between the events.
