I have noticed that my programs that I am recording were missing part of the beginning of the show. I looked closely at the clock (this one is in the bedroom) and noticed that it was 3 minutes slow! Yes, I do turn my box off every night. The other box I have in the living room which is the same one, never loses any time. Is this a software issue? Is the box not getting updates every night?

I would suggest trying to disconnect power to the box and reconnecting it to force it to resync the time.

ChrisL-
That is always the first thing I do when I have a problem with any of the boxes. Yes, that did fix the clock but I was wondering if this happened to other boxes. It also made me wonder if the box was actually getting any of the updates at night. Logically, if it were getting the updates, the clock would have been correct as it was on my other box. I intend to keep a closer eye on the clock from here on out. It just never occurred to me that there would be a problem with the time since that was actually something the SA 8300 series never did. Having an incorrect time on a device that is set to record is not good...

My whole house DVR always cuts off the last 45 seconds of any program I record. Another "feature" of Cox's premiere product (haha)
