Cisco modem 3010 and airport express router

Last two mornings I had to reset the modem (Cisco 3010) to connect to the Internet. I've never had this problem before. The modem lights are all normal (green) and the router (airport express) is normal as well but internet is disconnected. Once I reset both modem and router all is fine during the day. Any advise is appreciated.

What firmware is the Airport express? There is a known issue with some apple routers and IPv6. Try changing the router's IPv6 to "Link-local only". See here for instructions.

Hi Rx,

Apple is currently working to fix an IPv6 compatibility issue with Airport routers that causes intermittent disconnects. The workaround is to set the IPv6 setting on your Airport Express to "Link Local Only."

If the disconnects continue after changing the IPv6 settings, further modem troubleshooting is warranted. Bypass the Airport and connect your computer directly to your modem. Please let us know if changing the IPv6 settings don't seem to help. We're happy to continue troubleshooting!

Thank you. Have changed the channel on the apple airport express and so far the connection is stable. Will monitor and see if disconnects reoccurs. Hopefully Apple will release update for IPv6 soon.

@Rx

I looked form this end and the Airport is also only establishing a 100Mbps phy link to the modem.  Unless it's a really old Airport I suspect there may be bigger issues here occurring besides just the IPv6 bug.
