CBS on Cox Cable

I contracted with Cox for a package that included channel 8, CBS. If it is not continued I feel that will be a breach of contract.

Just heard it on the news that this is accurate that cox and KLAS are not agreeing on certain fees that cox has to pay to KLAS.

I've been a Cox customer for over 20 years, If you don't settle this problem with Channel 8 - I'm gone!!!!!

I spend THOUSANDS of dollars a year on Cox.  If you do not let me watch the SUPER BOWL, I promise you, I will unplug.  I will talk to my neighbors and get them to unplug.  I will start a petition and go to Town Square to have Cox removed of ANY special privileges that are given to them by the City of Las Vegas or the State of Nevada.

I will then begin a letter writing campaign to all politicians in the city and state to remove ANY special privileges granted to Cox, and will encourage the state to provide Tax exemptions to a competing cable firm like Comcast so that Cox can be COMPLETELY removed from our beloved state.

The Super Bowl is a national holiday.  Trying to remove it is like trying to remove Santa Claus.  Don't do it, I promise you will regret it.

Comcast has more Re-transmission Consent stalemates with OTA affiliates than does Cox. What are you gonna do then?

if cox decides not to carry channel 8 over money which they have tons of because they are over charging me big time i will cancel my service faster than you can say what. this isnt fair to the viewers to do this not to mention before the biggest sporting event of the year.

If I leave Cox it will be solely for the reason that 60% of TV I watch is on CBS as I respect COX's position in that any excess cost will be passed onto us consumer's and NEXTAR has been nothing but a money grabbing owner and is only popular based on current show line up which as nothing to do with local station KLAS. KLAS has cut out everything that benefits us locally so would suggest that KLAS get their act together and really think about what they are doing to community as all cost is ultimately passed onto us in community. If I do have to switch to another provider to get CBS programming I will not be watching anything KLAS does locally nor support any sponsors that advertise on KLAS.

how could it be a breach of contract and no it's not Cox, but the local affiliate the airs CBS programming that wants Cox to pay an increase in fees to carry the channel which is free OTA and if they don't the affiliate not COX will pull the channel off cox.

I watch channel 8 every weeknight for the 6 o'clock news followed by Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Then on Tuesdays I watch NCIS and NCIS New Orleans. I know that is not a lot but they are my favorites. Please do not take them away.

I can't believe that cox is not going to continue showing KLAS. If I am not able to watch KLAS I will cancel my subscription. KLAS is one of my favorite channels. I also believe it is a breach of contract. Also I have a party planned for the superbowl. This is not fair to your consumers, if you really value your consumers you will work it out with KLAS. Remember there are other providers out there to chose from.

You obviously have not read your contract.
