Cant watch live TV on Chromebox at home
At home I can watch live TV all my devices except my ChromeBox. I can watch On Demand just fine. When I click watch TV online I get logged into Contour and then I proceed to all TV listings. Once I choose a channel to watch it times out and gives me an error, regardless of the channel I choose. The important thing to note is it knows I’m at home because the “watch now” option is available and allows me to click it. Unlike if I’m outside my my home the watch now button is not available.
The error message I get is:
You need a subscription for this service please call customer service:error:980.primetime.3329.12012, error description: account is not entitled to linear stream.
Ive tried everything. Suggestions?

Does the ChromeBox use Chrome browser? Also, if you go to whatismyip.com does it show the same IP on each device? Last, can you try deleting the browser temp and cookies and see if different?
In general, my gut is saying it's a bug. Looks like Comcast had the same issue when they started using the same technology, before they leased it to Cox. Cox probably inherited some of the bugs. Does it only happen on: (ABC), (NBC), (CBS), (FOX), (PBS), (my TV), (ion), (CW), and (Religious Channel)?

I get the exact same error message and behavior. I.e., I can watch on demand shows, but not live tv. My device is an ASUS Flip Chromebook using chrome OS, and the Chrome browser. It seems to happen on every channel, though I have not tried every single one. I don't want to hijack the OP's thread, but I believe my situation is the same as his.
If anyone has any tips on using my new chromebook to watch TV online I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Deb

With the launch of our new Contour 2 App, the PC/MAC Web browsers are not supported at this time. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

To be clear, there is no web access at all to Contour 2.0, or are you saying there is a browser compatibility issue? If so, what? I ask because I wonder if there could be a work around? Comcast seemed to get their issue fixed. Is there a ETA on when this feature will be offered?
