Can't access "Fox News Go" on Cox. Anyone surprised?

Re: Not being able to access "Fox News Go" as a Cox Communication subscriber, Cox' answer is below.  No one should be surprised that Cox requires its subscribers to pay 100% to access Fox News, but Cox provides less than 100% of what's been paid for.

Gotta love Cox.  It's the last bastion of the 19th century (No.  I didn't mean to say 20th.)  You pay through the nose so you can take it in the ____.  Then, you get outdated service and impersonal and self serving customer service.

Hi Dave,

FoxNews via TV Online is available in some markets at this time however it appears from the link you provided not in yours. You are right in noting we must obtain rights from the broadcaster and these negotiations differ from state to state.

This process is a lengthy one and we are not provided an ETA for addition until negoations are completed.

I can submit a request for the addition of this feature in your area however in order to do so, I must verify your Cox subscription. Please email my team with your complete account address, full name and a short description of your request.

Hi Rightasrain, Not only do we pay a monthly fee to each television network to carry their channel(s) in our lineup; we also pay fees to secure access to the network's online and mobile content. In current market conditions, the negotiation for content is taking longer in order to achieve the best value and lowest cost for our customers. We submit all channel and mobile app requests to our programming managers to ensure we provide what our customers want the most. Please know that Cox is committed to serve the key programming needs of our customers! We hope to have more news about the Fox News mobile app and Fox News web access (for all markets) by the end of the month. Stay tuned!

Cox isn't negotiating the, "best value and lowest cost for our customers."  If Cox is negotiating to for mobile content with Fox News and Fox Business, Fox is negotiating the lowest cost for Cox.  Its customers will continue to pay top dollar subscription rates whether Cox ever gets the mobile content or not.  In the meantime, although Fox offers mobile content to the rest of the world, Cox customers will be left out in the cold.

Can you say, " cable monopoly?"
