can you adjust duration of screen banner
when i pause or 'rewind', i get a banner at the bottom of the screen showing a time bar. this stays on for SEVERAL seconds, way more than is needed.
when i rewind, it is generally to re-view something i missed, and all too often the this banner covers what i'm trying to see. maybe it was a 'crawl' at the bottom of the screen, or a play in a sporting event, or a clue in a mystery, or . . .
is there any way to adjust (reduce) the amount of time this banner remains on the screen?
seems it should be easy enough for cox to allow this, but i haven't been able to find a fix.

As mentioned several times earlier, just press the "EXIT" button. Either/or the info banner or the time duration bar will disappear.

Depending on how far back you need to rewind, the Instant Replay button may work for you. The Instant Replay button is located below the Rewind and Record buttons on your Cox remote. It is indicated by a curved arrow. Pressing this button will jump a program backwards in 7 second increments.

There does not seem to be a way to do what you suggest. Many of us think that the banner lasts too long ( i think it is 6-7 seconds). If i forget to hit Exit, the banner covers up too much of the screen..... especially if there is writing on the screen that i want to read.

As mentioned several times earlier, in Passport go to Settings>More Settings>My Preferences>Banner Duration. Choose between Short, Medium or Long.
Selecting Short, the banner lasts three seconds after Rewind or Pause. 15 seconds (use Exit here) after Info, primary or secondary screen. Immediately after a channel change.

In Contour, it's Settings>Guide Options>Banners. Choose Short, Medium or Long. I don't have any actual times for Contour.

The channel information banner and the play/pause, etc., timebar are two different things. The information banner is time adjustable in Contour, the timebar is not. "EXIT" is used to make the TIMEBAR go away.
