Can I Copy From My DVR?
Is it possible to make a copy of a show that has been recorded on my DVR box? Or, is there some sort of work around for doing so?

To my knowledge some content may be recorded from the DVR via the Firewire interface however no other means is currently provided at this time. Note also that some content is prohibited from being transferred even via the Firewire port.

there is always vhs tape and maybe a dvd recorder

We have a dvd/vhs player recorder. I used to copy shows from the dvr to disk to take camping with direct TV. How can we do that now> There is a 3 cord hooked to dvd/DVRcable box
