I just had Contour added to my account but it isn't going to be installed until next week. In the interim, can I connect my tv directly to the wall using a coax cable to get at least some channels? I'm an existing internet customer so the outlet is functioning and has been for some time.

Easiest way would be to hook up a TV and check. Your not "supposed" to be able to get the channels, but a lot of times the technician forget to put the filter out on the pole. Especially if they see a order for someone to move in soon.

Thanks MichaelJ.
An update: I was able to receive some channels after doing this. Mostly local channels but I did pick up some others too like BBC America (which is actually what I was wanting - woot!).
