Bad Speed and Bad Customer Support over the phone

We have the premier package and the speeds we are recieving never go above 10 to 12 mbps.  had a very helpful technician out who said we had poor levels of -20 to-25 and that he did what he could do but the problem was with the area not just us and that more people would have to come out to fix the problem.  This was 15 days ago and we were told it would be repaired over the weekend.  I contacted customer support only to be brushed off and have my chat session ended by one of the support customer service reps telling me that it was some node out in the area and that they couldnt troubleshoot me because all of the technicians were out already trying to fix the issue.  i have unplugged and reset everything numerous time had the modem pinged and reset numerous times and still nothing is as its supposed to be.  please help

I've had my chat sessions disconnected on me a lot. It's frustrating. Over the last 8 months I've been losing connection about once every hour. The reps I speak to in chat just keep telling me to reset my router and then then leave.

Cox has never been very reliable and I'm getting too frustrated with it now so I'm going to start looking into alternatives.

Gerzie, there is no point in point in post like these. Like I said in the other thread you commented on, you can make your own thread and people will help you. :-)

The signal levels being that low would cause problems with interment connectivity pretty constantly but there are ways for us to check how far out those levels are starting to narrow it down. If you can email us at coxhelp@cox.com with the street address or modems mac address we can take a closer look at it from here.
