Available Multi-Stream CableCards and Tuning Adapters?

What are the various brands and model numbers of multi-stream cablecards and tuning adapters available from Cox?

Went into a Cox store today to pickup and cablecard and tuning adapter and was surprised to receive such old models (Cisco STA1520 and Scientific Atlanta PowerKey PKM800.

Both of those models are fine and the only ones Cox offers in a Cisco market.
(For CableCARDs, you might occasionally see a PKM801, 802, or 803, but they all run the same Firmware or OS Version)

It is really the firmware that needs to be up to date.

The Cisco CableCARD should be running OS Version: PKEY1.5.3_F.p.1301, Build Time: Apr 4 2014
If your market has not yet updated you may still have PKEY1.5.3_F.p.0601, Build Time: Jun 19 2012

The Cisco STA1520 Tuning Adapter firmware should be FLASH: STA1.0.0_1520_LR_F.1601
There is newer firmware for the Cisco TA, F.1901, but Cox is refusing to push it out.

The Cisco Tuning Adapters have been very reliable for me, I have 3 of them on TiVos.  Make sure you reboot the TA every 3-4 weeks, if you don't it will eventually stop working.

Thanks bryaninphx!

Got the STA1520 from my local Cox store today along with a cable card (Cisco PowerKEY PKM908).  How do I check the firmware versions on each of them?

I'm surprised to see you received a PKM908, I thought those only came with the Cisco 9800 series DVRs

You will find the firmwares listed in the CableCARD Diagnostic menus, and the Tuning Adapter Diagnostic menus.

CableCARD Menu > Cisco CableCARD Diag(nostic) Screen

Tuning Adapter > Tuning Adapter Diagnostics > Versions & MACs
