Attaching photographs

I never had this happen before, but now, when I attach photos to an email, I get a message that the attached file (a JPEG file) cannot be read.  Anyone know why this is happening?

I tried using different cameras and photos of different sizes (from 159 to several thousand) and I always get the same message.

What do you use for email? A client like Outlook? Or webmail.cox.net?

Can you open other JPEG that people send you?

Hi JizzyJazzy,

We would need a little more information from you to better answer your question.  Are you using an e-mail program (Mac Mail, Microsoft Outlook, etc.) or our email from our wite (Webmail)? Also, have these images been altered in anyway using photo editing sofware?  Have you attached these images before?

I use Cox webmail.  I do not have a problem with the old version of Cox email, and I can still send a photo that way.  With the Advanced Webmail, I always get an error-reading-the-file message.

I have sent photos that have been resized and photos that are the original size (no editing whatsoever).  There is no problem with the older version of Cox webmail, but there is no success with the new version.  I tried both ways with the same photos.

Cox webmail.  No one has sent me a photo.

Thank you for your response.  Please see my note.  I'm using the Advanced version of Cox webmail.  I can send photos in the older version, but I cannot send the same photos in the new version.

I'm not able to duplicate this issue from our end.  Can you describe the steps you're using to try this?
