Another subscription for basic cable?
Suddenly I need a new subscription to watch cable channels on my minibox? Calling the on-screen number gets a busy signal. I already have Advanced TV Premiere with two DVRs on my other TVs. Is that not enough?

Are you trying to watch a channel that you cannot watch on the mini-box?? The mini-box is only used to receive the basic set of channels that you would previously have gotten on a TV connected direct to the wall, without any box.
Channels within the Starter and Essential lineups, to be more specific.

I'm getting the same message. Tried calling Tech Support and they have an automated message up that says "We're aware of the problem and are working on a solution."
Someone really blew it bigtime, I think.

What channel numbers and networks are giving this message? Is this repeated to each Mini Box in the home?
showbizkid did the call end after the automated message, "We're Aware.."? Did you speak to an agent about any particular channels?

I now longer get the "subscription required" message. Coming through now are over-the-air, GSN, Evine, pop, cspan, ucsd, byutv, ewtn, dvstr, insp, tbn, fs2, wehd, oxygen, coztv, metv, and the music channels. Basically the local, latino, public/govt, home shopping and religion cable channels (and Oprah). The minibox will not tune to any other cable channel.

From the Cox on-screen menu, I re-scanned my channels. This fixed the problem.
