All Digital Mini Boxes
I have 4 TVs in my home. One ( the primary TV ) has a DVR.. Am I to understand the remaining 3 TVs (installed on the wall) will now require punching holes in the walls to accommodate a mini box at each of the TVs sites? I'm having a real problem with this. Surely, there is a better way!!

do they take cable cards? if no then mini boxes are the only way

If your other 3 TV's currently connect directly to a cable outlet no additional holes should be necessary, but you'll need to add a mini box to each one you'd like to continue receiving cable signal on. If you currently use antennas on the TVs without boxes no changes would need to be made to your configuration.

How does the coaxial run to the 3 TV's? If there is access in each room, you could use the coaxial to receive the NTSC signal from the mini box. Or if it's conduit, you could run HDMI (repeater?) and the IR input on the back.
There are other solutions, but they are more DIY. How much time and money do you want to invest?
