So angry that I couldn't watch the news this morning cuz cox took kake/abc off the air I'm seriously thinking about canceling my service after being a custom or for 6 years now

I will be calling Direct TV today to get a quote.  This is not even a premium channel but a basic cable channel and a network channel at that.  Salina used to have 2 ABC stations and now we have none.  Absolutely ridiculous.

I am in total agreement. I watch kake/abc everyday and I too am so angry. If cox raises my rates for cable or internet even a penny I will cancel and go to ATT or somewhere else. I do not watch enough tv anyway to pay the prices I do now. You cancel a show, because you do not want to pay the increase, well neither do your consumers. I have been thinking about cancelling anyway, but not having channel 10, definitely makes that decision a lot more easier to make. Very unhappy customer!

Well I find that I dion't really miss KAKE. One of the morning news person's voice is really annoying so I don't watch them as I get ready for work. There local news reporting isn't that accurate anyway.

I was wondering when the monthly bill will be discounted. Cox has cut channels three times, TV Guide, CSPAN, KAKE & METV,  but continues to raise their charges.

I dream of ala carte programing.

I, too, am very upset this situation. We've in the Wichita area and I don't mind missing KAKE so much because all the locals cover the same news stories--BUT consider it truly unfair to lose ABC. We have already been advised by Cox that our bills in the Winfield Area will be increased by a minimum of $7.00 per month even without ABC

TV Guide and CSPAN are still available. KAKE has withdrawn permission for Cox to retransmit their channel (so Cox legally cannot.) Me-TV is owned by Weigel Broadcasting, and its disappearance has little to do with Cox's KAKE dispute. As far as your monthly bill goes, I suggest you read your user agreement.

I dream of ala carte programing.

Be careful of what you dream for. You might get it.
