8742 cable box problems
My new whole home DVR 8742 cable box started having problems today. It keeps rebooting itself at random times while I'm watching tv, it will also bring up the guide at random times, and shut itself off. We've tried unplugging it for 15 minutes, cleaning the display in case there was some dirt on the touch screen, and we even turned it off for 2 1/2 hours thinking that would help but it keeps doing the same things. Has anyone else had these problems? Is there a way to fix it?

It sounds like you're definitely having some problems there. If rebooting the box didn't help the only thing left you could try on your end might be to check all the cables/fittings to ensure they're hand tight. This sounds like something that may very well end up requiring a service visit to resolve.
